I wouldn’t be reaching out if this wasn’t important. We’re just days away from our first mid-month fundraising deadline since officially filing for re-election – and right now, we’re not on track to hit our goal.

As my team likes to remind me, our fundraising deadlines are how we keep this train on its track; without them, we might have to scale back our plans for this campaign. At a time when Republicans are specifically targeting my seat to flip this November, closing this gap is essential.

So my team and I came up with a plan: we’ve set a grassroots donor goal of bringing in 100 unique grassroots donations before Wednesday at midnight! The amount is up to you — this is a grassroots team, and we’re proud to be powered by small dollar donors. But in order to compete with shady special interests on the other side, we’re aiming to bring in 100 individual contributions by Wednesday at midnight. 

The goal is ambitious, but not impossible. I’ve seen this team rally around me to do amazing things in the past, and know it’s possible again. So what do you say, john? Will you add your contribution now to be 1 out of 100 and help us close this gap?
