It’s Pi Day, friend. (The math kind, not the food kind.)
The best teachers don’t just teach us how to spell, how to write an essay, and how to approach concepts like pi. They show us how to be patient, how to work with others, and how to solve problems in new and imaginative ways.
Math is one of the best examples of this. The Pythagorean Theorem, the first algorithm written by Ada Lovelace, the bombe machines that broke Enigma in WWII – all of them came from thinking outside the box to find a solution when the step-by-step directions couldn’t do it.
Our kids deserve a world-class education no matter their ZIP code. Help us elect Iowa Democrats who will stand up for public education – become a sustaining donor and start a monthly contribution of $3.14, $31.41, or if you’re feeling spicy, $314.16.

We’re all tired of the constant attacks on our teachers and our public schools. While Iowa Republicans and Kim Reynolds threatened to jail educators and handed corporations a massive tax giveaway, Iowa Democrats have kept up the fight for new books for our students, smaller class sizes, and higher salaries for our teachers.
A monthly contribution – much like pi – is a constant that we can plan our budget around to ensure that we have the best chance to flip our state blue. Chip in a special Pi Day donation right now so we can get this show on the road. [[link removed]]
