Folks — I hope you can spare a minute so I can tell you about my good friend Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill.
Mikie is a former Navy helicopter pilot as well as a federal prosecutor, and she’s spent her entire life serving our incredible country. In 2018, Mikie decided to run for New Jersey’s 11th Congressional District and she successfully flipped a 34-year Republican-controlled seat blue — with a 33% swing that was the largest in the country and helped Democrats win back the House majority.
Since being elected, Mikie has been a powerful champion and advocate for improving our healthcare system, passing Covid relief and an expanded Child Tax Credit for working-class families, and so much more.
This year, Mikie’s up for re-election, and there are already six GOP candidates vying for the Republican nomination. Republicans know their path back to the House majority goes through districts like Mikie’s.
We need to protect Mikie’s voice in the House because she’ll always put the best interests of her constituents and the American people first. With just a four-seat majority in the House, we can’t afford to lose her critical New Jersey seat.
