Ben Therriault is the kind of law enforcement leader we need. He won't be the kind of Sheriff who just wants a badge and a recliner where he can sit and rest on his laurels once elected.

Ben is about building and strengthening community relationships by opening doors and making sure everyone has a seat at the table. He knows this will take time, but he’s never been afraid of work.

Leadership without transparency and accountability is especially unacceptable in an elected position. Ben knows that we can change our law enforcement goals to be more efficient and adapt to the needs of society.

Ben Therriault grew up on the Flathead Indian Reservation in Montana. He will be the first Native American County Sheriff in California history. He fought in the Iraq war where he was awarded several medals for his honorable service. He has been a policeman for the past 14 years.
