Mike Thompson voted to ban Russian oil, which directly increased the price of gas. First when the ban was rumored and then when the ban was enacted. Prices had already been on the rise because of an energy crisis in Europe.

Russia isn't going to have a problem selling their oil, in fact thanks to the high prices the US created they'll make even MORE money. This is a sanction on YOU, the American citizens, making YOU pay for NATO's expansion into Ukraine. But he wants to pretend that Putin raised the price and the truth is a "cheap political attack". He even wrote an op-ed lying to you that it's all Putin's fault. This is some grade A bullshit!

A Bolivian outlet is reporting that the Cuban and Venezuelan economies are doing well. From Bolivian reporter Ollie Vargas via Twitter: "Venezuela's economy looking good for the first time since sanctions began. Monthly inflation is at the lowest rate since sanctions began (4.8% in Jan). Oil industry rebuilt thanks to Iranian assistance, now that it's rebuilt the price is $129 per barrel (unprecedented).
Even before this current situation, the UN predicted that growth for Venezuela would be above the regional average for Latin America.

Investing in Venezuela rn (he means "right now") would be a wise decision...
Venezuela's GDP growth has been positive since the last quarter of 2021.
