Here’s why: As you read my email, white coats at the Dept. of Justice (DOJ) are asking Congress for more of your tax dollars to purchase pigs, goats, and possibly dogs... then shoot, stab, dismember, and blow them up.
DOJ calls it “live tissue training” (LTT). We call it what it really is: taxpayer-funded torture.

Taxpayer, DOJ white coats have wasted your paycheck on animal abuse that would land you or me in prison:
- BURNED ALIVE: Pigs, goats, and sometimes even dogs are shot, stabbed, and burned alive.
- BOTCHED SURGERIES: Inexperienced bureaucrats crudely attempt to repair the damage as the victims suffer.
- NO SURVIVORS: Many of the DOJ’s victims die during LTT. Those who survive are killed anyways.

At first, DOJ white coats hid the evidence. But we sued… and won: Last year, White Coat Waste Project (WCW) forced the DOJ to hand over receipts that agency bureaucrats tried VERY HARD to keep secret.
They prove the agency spent tens of thousands of your tax dollars to maim and kill live animals in its LTT exercises.
But Taxpayer, thanks to your advocacy and donations over the last year, we’re closer than ever to making LTT at the DOJ a thing of the past:
Eighteen Democrat and Republican members of Congress have sent a letter to Attorney General (AG) Merrick Garland, citing WCW’s work and asking him to permanently discontinue “wasteful and unnecessary” LTT exercises at the DOJ.
Wasteful and unnecessary is right! Trainees don’t need to butcher live animals. The DOJ already owns more effective, cost-efficient human patient simulators.
Even the Defense Department has criticized live tissue training as "outdated and cost-prohibitive."
There’s simply no excuse for this white coat waste.
