Last March, we witnessed two major mass shootings in less than a week, John.
First, a gunman murdered eight people in Atlanta in an act of violence against Asian Americans — and then, just a few days later, a shooter opened fire at a grocery store in Boulder. Ten people were killed. Anniversaries of senseless mass shootings litter every month of the year – this year we add two more to that calendar. Mass shootings alongside everyday gun violence that doesn’t make headlines, made 2021 the deadliest year for gun violence that our country has seen in decades.

For 365 days, NRA-funded politicians like Mitch McConnell have continued to block lifesaving legislation, like an assault weapons ban. What’s more? These laws do not infringe on the Second Amendment, they’re just common sense.
|
But here's why we still have hope: Thanks to this grassroots team, gun violence prevention champions are finally in control of the White House and Congress, which means we can get assault weapons off the streets. But we need an outpouring of support from folks like you to get this done. So, please, John, speak out before our live poll closes at midnight tonight:

Do you think Congress should ban military-style assault weapons?
