A federal court just upheld Trump's family planning gag rule, which will strip Title X funding from Planned Parenthood and other clinics that provide care for 4.1 million low-income people a year.(1)

Planned Parenthood relies on Title X funds to serve nearly six million people every year, providing sex education, cancer screenings, contraceptives, Pap smears, STI tests, and more.(2) California alone has more than 100 Planned Parenthood-affiliated health centers.(3)

Congress can override Trump's gag rule. Courage Campaign is standing with Planned Parenthood and holding members of Congress accountable who support this terrible rule.

Trump's gag rule bans healthcare providers from discussions about abortion or providing referrals for abortion care.(4) It's already illegal to use federal funds for abortion, and only 3% of Planned Parenthood’s services are abortion related.(5) That’s not the issue.

Trump's gag rule forces health care providers to deny patients basic health information -- a blatant violation of medical ethics. Unless Congress or a higher court steps in, Planned Parenthood will be defunded and health care for more than 4 million people will be in jeopardy.

Congress has the power to overrule Trump's gag rule. The only reason he can get away with it is because Mitch McConnell and other anti-choice Republicans stand with him.

Courage Campaign is urging Democrats to fight with all they have to override the gag rule -- and calling out Republicans who support it.
