Hi, my name is Berdetta Hodge and I’m Jevin’s mom.

When elected, Jevin will be the first-ever Black member of Congress from Arizona.

I know something about being “the first.” When I was elected to the Tempe School Board, I became the first Black woman elected to public office in Tempe. I know firsthand how important it is that young folks in Arizona and across the country have representatives who look like them.

Now, it’s Jevin’s turn to make history and inspire a new generation of public servants. Will you support our effort to do that by pitching in today?→

Jevin is running in a district that Joe Biden won by 1.5%. He has one of the best opportunities nationwide to unseat a Republican and help Democrats keep the House majority.

But for my son to win this race and make history, our movement needs the resources to reach Arizonans by mail, through digital ads, at face-to-face events, and with television advertisements. When the folks in our district get to know Jevin, I’m confident he’ll win their support and have the momentum necessary to flip this seat blue.
