It’s not all gloom and doom, John. The fact is we’re winning. Our movement is growing bigger every day, our alums running for office are gaining momentum, and they’re already winning critical races up and down the ballot across the country.

Our first alum victory this year was Lydia Edwards' who won in a special election for the Massachusetts Senate. She’s joined by Sadaf Jaffer, who was just sworn in as one of the first AAPI women to serve in the New Jersey Legislature, and Rachel Armitage, the newest state senator to represent Oregon’s 16th Senate District.

That's not all: London Lamar was just appointed to Tennessee's Senate and  Emerge Connecticut alum Maryam Khan was elected the first Muslim member of the Connecticut House in a special election. 7 out of 10 Emerge Vermont alums who were on the ballot won their races as well!

We also welcomed two new executive directors. Emerge Virginia alum Danica Roem and Emerge Wisconsin alum Arvina Martin will elevate NAM women across their states.
