Did you see Deborah’s email from yesterday? Thanks to you, Congress passed an omnibus spending bill, which ends flat Trump-era spending and invests in critical programs from education to housing to nutrition and more.

These are small, but important steps. Now it’s time for Congress to make critical investments in our future and to help people cope with higher costs―paid for by making the rich and corporations pay their fair share.

Sign the petition to Congress today! Tell them that this spending bill is just the first step in investing in families, communities and working people.

We’ve seen, when there’s the political will for action, we can achieve great things. Let’s keep fighting, demanding Congress make historic investments in our future.

Thanks to you, this week the U.S. House and Senate passed a spending bill, which ends flat Trump-era spending and invests in our communities and our future. That bill now goes to President Biden for his signature.

We were able to make critical investments in education, housing, nutrition, child care, and so much more. This shows that when there is the political will, Congress is able to muster the votes needed to pass critical legislation. These investments start to reverse at least a decade of inadequate funding. But our nation needs more.

We can build on this progress. We can and must keep fighting for an agenda that makes historic investments in our future, including universal pre-K, affordable child care, the expanded Child Tax Credit and Earned Income Tax Credit, education, housing affordability, expanding Medicaid, combatting skyrocketing drug prices, and so much more!

Sign the petition to Congress to immediately pass an economic package that invests in children, families, and working people and helps them cope with rising prices―and that’s paid for by finally making the rich and corporations pay their fair share.

The pandemic has exposed massive gaps in our care economy, exacerbating already rising levels of income and wealth inequality. But we’ve also shown that through strategic investments we can lower costs and put money directly into people’s pockets.
