I made a difficult decision a few weeks ago.

We had a staff meeting to discuss all of the different dark-money groups running ads against us, and it was clear that we couldn’t wait a moment longer to start running television ads of our own.

I gave it a green light, and we put up our first ad on TV — Even though we weren’t sure we had enough of the budget to keep them on air.

The bet I made was that Mark’s supporters would come through and close the budget gap, just like you have time and time again.

But then we missed our goal in February. We came up short. And that puts an extraordinary amount of pressure on us to reach our goals in March — especially since this is an FEC deadline month.

So, please:

Can Mark count on you to make a $3 contribution to his campaign? We’re short of where we need to be to reach our March goals so we’re kicking off a mid-month fundraising drive today to catch up.
