Join us March 19 at 10 am as Livable California looks at California lawmakers’ plans to address sky-high home prices, a global phenom that grips the U.S, Europe, Canada, UK and Down Under.
Can speculators, Yimby, flippers and Wall Street be reined in? Can those in power be educated not to make terrible mistakes that just worsen things?
How much worse can it get, with ill-conceived density laws like SB 9 driving up land values and encouraging density in severe fire zones?
And are voters in the mood for the California Family Home Construction and Homeownership Bond Act of 2022, a massive fund to help working-class home buyers?
Let’s talk next Saturday!! Meanwhile, please do these two things, right now:
On March 19 we’ll also discuss the worst anti-parking law proposed in 2022.
AB 2097 bans cities from requiring developers to include parking in housing or business projects within ½-mile of transit. What about the “we have small children” parking? Where’s the “I carry heavy tools” parking? Or the “I live alone in a bad area” parking?
Anti-parking bills don’t reduce GHG. They DO harm burdened folks who don’t need the grief.
So join us next Sat., March 19, at 10 am! And right now please go here to help us fight the deep pockets who are killing home ownership in California. We appreciate your interest so much!
