John – sorry to be sending this on a Saturday but there's so much going on!

– Most of the states have adopted their initial maps, but there are a few big ones left, like Florida and Louisiana.

– Following court decisions has been a wild ride. First SCOTUS's decision allowed Alabama's elections to proceed on gerrymandered maps (bad). Then they refused to block fair maps in Pennsylvania and North Carolina (very good)! Overall, our movement's legal strategy has been paying dividends.

– Republicans are very annoyed that state Supreme Courts have largely been siding with fair maps. So they plan to put a bunch of money into the 2022 election in order to stack those courts.

– All of us at the NDRC are thrilled that thanks to our efforts (and your support!), the GOP will not be able to win the U.S. House majority through gerrymandering alone.

– At the same time, we're seeing indications that they're getting even more ruthless as they get more desperate. This could spell big trouble if we don't have the resources to stay on top of redistricting.

And that's why your donation is so important, John. This isn't over by a long shot. Can you pitch in today to help us fight for fair redistricting, for as long as it takes?

Thanks so much,
Tara
