Dear Center supporters,
Earlier this month, we filed a case in the District Court for Oklahoma County challenging two harmful laws that ban the use of telemedicine to prescribe pills for medication abortion and prohibit qualified advanced practice clinicians from providing abortions and related services. The Center has been on the forefront of protecting and expanding reproductive rights in Oklahoma for years, fighting against lawmakers hellbent on stripping us of our reproductive rights.
The state is one of the most restrictive in the country in terms of abortion access. Since 2011, politicians have passed over 20 bills restricting access to abortion and other reproductive health services. This year alone, a dozen anti-abortion bills were introduced in Oklahoma.
Look, this is our sixth case in Oklahoma in the last five years and our experience tells us we'll need to fight hard to defeat these laws.
