There’s only one Lt. Governor candidate who is pushing the legalization of cannabis across North Carolina.
That’s me!

I am pushing a program that will provide controlled access to cannabis through our current ABC system. Local counties and communities would have to hold a referendum to support cannabis sales through their ABC systems.

The cannabis would be grown in North Carolina by local farmers. We would regulate and tax the sale of all cannabis.
This would generate more than $450 million a year in new revenue to help North Carolina families take care of their aging parents and extend community based behavioral health programs.

Regulating and taxing cannabis would eliminate a multi-million black market. It would free up our criminal justice system to focus on major crimes and violent gangs. It would clear the records of nonviolent possessions of small amounts.

We can make this happen. It’s time to embrace this change. It’s the right thing to do. Will you help me make this happen?
