South Carolina State #19?
We're just one vote away from final passage in the South Carolina legislature!
Thursday, March 10, the South Carolina State Senate voted overwhelmingly to pass the Convention of States Resolution.
The support was so one-sided that the legislators didn't even need to vote--the Resolution passed on a voice vote, meaning a count wasn't even taken.
The South Carolina House has already passed our Resolution, but due to some slight differences in the Senate version, the House needs to pass it again in a process called "concurrence."
We hope the House will stick to its guns and pass the Resolution a second time, but the anti-Article V forces have come out in droves.
Fortunately, our grassroots team is working tirelessly to call, email, and meet with their state representatives to ensure we have the necessary support to pass this final hurdle.
