With the end of the legislative session, I want to update you on o2 Utah’s work to improve air quality and how your support helped make that possible.
Because of your generosity, o2 Utah was at the Capitol every single day during the 2022 session.
And here are some of the results:
Rep. Andrew Stoddard joined as the House sponsor of o2 Utah’s proposed air quality legislation, Prosperity 2030, and submitted the bill for drafting. Sen. Kirk Cullimore passed SB 188, which allows incoming federal funds to be used on clean vehicles and efficient buildings–all to help our air. Sen Cullimore also succeeded in requesting $2.3 million for air quality studies and to help pave the way for Prosperity 2030.
We at o2 Utah are proud of these steps but we need your support to move forward. We will not be satisfied until we pass legislation that makes a serious dent in our pollution problem (and not just nibbles around the edges).
