I’m a bit of a comic book nerd.

Now, it’s not just because I learned how to read by flipping through their pages as a kid. It’s also because I learned some really valuable life lessons from comic books -- like the fact that real heroes value honesty and loyalty, put other people ahead of themselves, and know that doing the right thing is hard, but they do it anyway.

Nowadays, we have one political party that is more interested in playing the comic book villain than actually doing what’s right. Given the opportunity, you can be sure Mitch McConnell, Kevin McCarthy, and the rest of the GOP will destroy every bit of progress we’ve made together.
