John —

Before the weekend, I have a request. Will you sign our petition calling on Congress to protect our democracy? >> [link removed]

Our campaign is gathering 500 signatures before the petition closes, and it's important I see your name. I hope you'll let me explain why.

I will never forget January 6, 2021. The organized attack on our Capitol building wasn't a fluke. It was a symptom of a nation in distress. It's no secret our democracy is in trouble.

After attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election, Republican-led state legislatures passed not one, not two, but 34 laws restricting access to voting in 2021, including right here in Pennsylvania. They're organizing an outright assault on voting rights, election integrity, and our democratic institutions. And it's time for Congress to do its job and save our democracy.

The right to vote is the foundation of all other legal rights in America, and these racist voting restrictions are the canary in the coal mine that proves our democracy is failing the American people. The situation is dire, but it's not too late.

The Senate has the moral obligation to put a stop to these attacks on our democracy, and I need to know if you're with me in this fight. Add your name to call on Congress to support democracy reform. >> [link removed]

We can stop these attacks and rebuild our democracy from the ground up. Thank you for being a fighter for the people.

— Dwight
