I wanted to reach out to you to talk about Democratic debates in Ohio.
Republicans have already held MULTIPLE rounds of debates before the
primary elections. And the Democratic primary candidates have yet to
participate in even one debate. Here’s where we are with Democratic
debates in Ohio:
FIRST: Morgan wrote a letter to the Ohio Democratic Party Chair Elizabeth
Walters calling for a series of debates between her and her opponent Tim
Ryan. Tim Ryan refused to debate Morgan and talked down on our campaign
for U.S. Senate. 🚩🚩🚩
THEN: Morgan participated in two debates with Josh Mandel – because she’s
willing to debate anyone, anytime, to make sure that Ohioans know about
her vision for Ohio.
NOW: We’re less than 55 days away from the primary election and Tim Ryan
just agreed to have one Ohio Debate Commission-sponsored Democratic
debate. Meanwhile, Republicans have already had 15 public debates and
forums.

It’s pretty clear: Tim Ryan has been afraid to get onstage and debate in
front of Ohio voters. Tim Ryan’s refusal to participate in debates has
robbed Ohioans of choice. Voters deserve to see their candidates in an
open and unbiased forum — more than just once.

we can show Tim Ryan that we won’t accept anything less.
