This year is an election year, but I’m not just running for myself.

Last month, you heard from my friend Norma Hernandez, running to become the first Latina to represent Illinois’s 77th House District, whose campaign I proudly endorsed. I’ve also endorsed State Senator Celina Villanueva as she runs a contested re-election campaign. And you may have heard that I was excited to support Delia Ramirez, state legislator and social justice advocate, in her campaign for Congress.

With Latinos – and especially Latinas – underrepresented in our government, I am excited to fight to elect these powerhouse leaders. But I need you on my team.
