We’re celebrating Women’s History Month by celebrating all the women—cis, trans, non-binary, and gender non-conforming—who are changing the course of history for animals!
When I reflect on Women’s History Month, I immediately think about the incredible changemakers who are creating a kinder, more compassionate world through their work, advocacy, and generosity.
From celebrity philanthropists and advocates like Betty White to grassroots activists, sanctuary founders, and pioneers of the plant-based movement, women continue to make historical contributions to making the world a better place for animals.
Changemakers in action
We’re also celebrating the women on our team at The Humane League and the Open Wing Alliance, a global coalition ending the abuse of chickens worldwide. These powerful changemakers are working together to make a difference for animals, day by day.

Together, we’re building a legacy we can all feel proud of. Thank you for being an instrumental part of our journey to create a better world for animals—a place where they can be treated with the kindness and respect we all deserve.
