Biden’s Hill To Climb
The Biden Administration is doing everything they can to exploit the Russia/Ukraine war for political gain. Every problem created by their failed policies is being blamed on Putin, the war, or America’s energy industry. Biden would much rather run this November against Putin and “big oil” than run against conservatives.
A HarrisX poll done for Newsweek magazine of 3,010 registered voters shows that 36% of voters say the war makes them more likely to vote Republican this November while 24% say they are more likely to vote Democrat.
By a margin of 58% to 42% Americans say that Biden’s policies more than Trump’s policies are to blame for the Russian invasion. Among independent voters the result is even more lopsided: 66% to 34% blame Biden over Trump.
The so-called “Green” agenda of Biden and the left is also in deep trouble. When asked, "In light of Russia's attack on Ukraine and soaring gasoline prices, should the Biden administration ease its focus on climate change and allow more oil and natural gas exploration. . .” By 69% to 31% the electorate says “yes” – allow more drilling!
Harris’s Laugh Stuns Europe
Vice President Harris had a real chance to improve her image on her trip this week to Europe to talk to U.S. allies. She failed. At a press conference with the Polish president, she was asked whether the U.S. would be willing to take some Ukrainian refugees.
It was an obvious question to expect but Harris seemed stunned and did her best imitation of a “deer in the headlights.” She then broke into her now famous laugh. Trump said last night that she sounded like “a mad woman.” One Ukrainian official said on Twitter it would be a tragedy if “this woman” ever became president.
The deeper question is why she froze. The Biden/Harris Administration has bragged about how many more refugees it has brought into the U.S. So, why wouldn’t she say that we will take in Ukrainians too?
Here’s my guess: The Ukrainians are European Orthodox Christians. They would be very likely to join the growing conservative coalition in our country. That doesn’t fit into the left’s plan to transform America.
Not Your Father’s Pledge of Allegiance
U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg’s “husband” feels strongly that American children should say the pledge to the flag. Unfortunately, he doesn’t mean “Old Glory,” the “Red, White and Blue” flag of the American Republic.
A video has emerged of Chasten campaigning for Pete in Iowa ahead of the 2020 presidential primary in Iowa. He visits a camp for LGBTQ, etc. youth, some as young as eight years old, and leads them in pledging allegiance to the rainbow flag. What? You didn’t know there was such a pledge? Neither did I.
Here are the words: “I pledge my heart to the rainbow of the not-so-typical gay camp. One camp, full of pride, indivisible with affirmations and equal rights for all.”
The clip showing this perverted pledge was originally part of an Amazon Prime documentary released in 2021 about Pete Buttigieg’s failed 2020 presidential campaign. For whatever reason it didn’t hit a nerve until now.
A few years ago, Karen Pence, wife of then Vice President Mike Pence, came under fire when reporters discovered that the Christian school she taught in actually promoted a Christian worldview on marriage, and the sanctity of life. Now that, the media thought, was controversial.
God help us.
