Indivisibles,

Following her nomination by President Biden, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson
has begun her tour of courtesy meetings with senators over the last week.
After meeting with Judge Jackson, Sen. Joe Manchin said that they “had a
positive and productive meeting,” where they got the opportunity to
“discuss her experience, record and opinions on important issues impacting
West Virginians.”

This is good.

This is what we hope to see.

Judge Jackson is eminently qualified and brings a perspective -- both as a
Black woman and a public defender -- that the court sorely needs. As long
as Democrats hold the line, we have a clear path to confirming Judge
Jackson to the Supreme Court.

But, because she was confirmed with bipartisan support in the past, we
think some Republican senators are in play to vote for her and ensure the
process occurs speedily. So, if your senator is a Republican, [ [link removed] ]use this
script to call and tell them you want them to support Judge Jackson. If
your senator is a Democrat, [ [link removed] ]use this script to encourage your senator
to push to confirm her without delay.

She’s brilliant. She’s qualified. She brings a perspective to the bench
that is historically lacking. The Senate needs to lock in Judge Ketanji
Brown Jackson’s historic appointment without delay.

If you want to make sure we can continue to organize for things like Judge
Jackson’s confirmation, [ [link removed] ]click here to donate today.

The world today is a complicated mess, but we are glad to have you along
with us fighting to ensure tomorrow is a brighter day.

In solidarity,
