Welch for Vermont

Hello,

Today marks one full year since President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan into law to provide relief during the worst public health crisis in living memory.

While that victory was desperately needed, it was done in spite of Republicans fighting it all along the way. Without a single Republican vote in the House or Senate, it certainly wouldn’t have been possible without Democratic control.

If we’re going to keep those majorities and pass more of the progressive policies our country needs—from a Green New Deal to Medicare for All—we’ve got to keep Vermont blue. That means electing Peter Welch as Vermont’s next Senator.

With the Senate hanging in the balance, will you pitch in $15 or anything you can to help elect Peter?

The American Rescue Plan provided much-needed relief to folks throughout Vermont and all across the country.

Peter fought for the bill to include grants to restaurants, direct payments to full-time students younger than 24, billions to help low-income families heat their homes, expanded broadband, and more. As a whole, the law helped add millions of jobs to the economy under Democrats’ watch, delivered vaccines across the country, and kept so many small businesses afloat.

Even though Mitch McConnell didn’t vote for it, he bragged to his constituents about how much money his state was getting from the package. Republicans are more than willing to vote against supporting working families—so we’ve got to elect more Democrats who will fight for working people and our democracy.

We’ve got one heck of a candidate in Peter Welch, and a key Senate race to win in Vermont.

This time next year, Peter could be pushing for a progressive future as Vermont’s next senator, but not without a powerful grassroots coalition at his side. Donate $15 or anything that makes sense to you and help elect Peter to the Senate.

Thanks again,

Team Welch
