"I feel desperate sometimes, but I never stop believing that we will resist and endure, because it's our home and our freedom that we are fighting for. I think about the women giving birth in bomb shelters right now. Life finds its way amidst destruction and I think this is how things are supposed to be — the light should defeat darkness.
Here in Ukraine we used to have this stereotypical image of women being very strong and stubborn, and now it proves to be true. Women in Ukraine, they are joining the army, finding shelter for refugees, and doing everything they can to help. Women are holding on and they're holding strong." |
