Kim Schrier

John,

Our country is continuing to face a devastating gun violence epidemic. In recent years, we've seen gun violence skyrocket with a record-breaking number of Americans losing their lives or being seriously injured.

Make no mistake: gun violence is a public health crisis and we need to take action to combat it. That's why Kim was proud to help pass H.R. 8 – the Bipartisan Background Checks Act – in the House one year ago today. This legislation would close loopholes that allow firearms to be purchased without background checks and help keep our communities safe.

But one year since its passage in the House, and the Senate still hasn't taken it up for a vote.

This shouldn't be a partisan issue – it's common sense, John. With over 90% of Americans – including a majority of Republicans – supporting background checks on gun sales, it's time we take action to ensure no more lives are lost to gun violence.

If you agree it's past time for common sense gun reform legislation, sign the petition to show your support for the Bipartisan Background Checks Act >>

Thanks,

Team Schrier

To hold the House majority, we must re-elect Rep. Kim Schrier in WA-08. Will you chip in to protect Kim's seat and the Democratic House majority in 2022?
