The past few days since Gov. Mills announced her re-election campaign have been incredible. The movement we are building to stop Paul LePage and the GOP is growing everyday, and we can’t waste this momentum. I wanted to share some stories from volunteers across Maine to show you exactly what you’re supporting when you contribute to the Maine Democratic Party.

We’re already speaking to voters in every corner of the state and collected signatures from all 16 counties in our petition efforts, thanks to support from people like you. Your donations helped make it possible for organizers and volunteers to go above and beyond, like Noah and OB who rode the Peaks Island Ferry back and forth to collect signatures. Whether it’s clipboards for gathering petitions or coffee and donuts on a cold day before knocking doors, your support keeps our volunteers and staff going.

Even in below freezing temperatures, volunteers like Mark helped turn out people in his community to collect signatures. He’s a retired small business owner who showed up to help collect signatures for Democratic candidates because of the support small business owners received during the early days of the pandemic. He helped organize a signature gathering event and Gov. Mills showed up to show her support.
