ORIGINAL MESSAGE FROM DIEGO HUAMAN

Hi Friend, my name is Diego Quispe Huaman, and I’m the senior social media associate here at FWD.us. I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and share with you why I do this work.

I came to the United States when I was just five years old with my mom and two siblings — and we’ve been here for more than 20 years now. Both of my siblings and I are DACA recipients and we are so grateful for the opportunities living in California has afforded us. But we also haven’t seen our family back in Peru since we came here two decades ago, and we are still waiting for our government to create a pathway to citizenship.

My story is not unique. Millions of Americans just like my siblings and I live in fear that our families could be ripped apart at any moment.

That’s why I am joining hundreds of other DACA recipients, TPS holders, and essential workers across the country to sign an Open Letter to President Biden and Congress, urging them to deliver on immigration through reconciliation.

Will you join us? Add your name as a public co-signer of our “For Our Families” Open Letter to President Biden and Congress right away.

In the coming weeks, Congressional Democrats will have an opportunity to use a legislative process known as reconciliation to fulfill their promises on immigration. Voters across the country have made it clear — they want Congress to use every tool at their disposal to get immigration relief signed into law.

The time for Congress to act on immigration is now. No more excuses. Hundreds of folks have joined us and signed on, but we need your support too — now more than ever.

Please add your name to our open letter urging President Biden and Congressional Democrats to deliver on immigration through reconciliation.→

Pa’lante,
Diego
