It’s still hard to comprehend that 1 million Americans have died of Covid — and according to a report from Public Citizen, 1/3 of those deaths were because of not having health insurance.

One thing the last two years has proven is that our healthcare system is completely broken. Calling it a “sick care” system would be more accurate. Health insurance companies have raked in record profits during the pandemic, while small medical practices and rural hospitals have struggled to stay open.

With Medicare for All, people would get healthcare when they need it. Rural communities would have doctors and hospitals, because the system wouldn’t be based on profit — it would be based on need.
