What happened with the spending bill in the last couple days is SWAMP politics at its worst.
In the dead of night -- at 2:30 AM specifically -- Democrat "leadership" sent us the 2,700 page, $1.5 TRILLION “Omnibus” bill... then we were expected to vote on it hours later!
This is nuts and something has to change. Members of Congress shouldn't vote on bills they can’t even read, especially bills allocating trillions of dollars!
Here are the main takeaways of this ominous “Omnibus” Bill:
ZERO actual changes to USA Oil and Gas restrictions.
ZERO changes to COVID vax mandates
ZERO meaningful policy changes for our open border -- only more money for CBP and ICE -- which means more money to process illegal immigrants and transport them around the country!
A ban on Russian oil with ZERO changes to the limits on USA oil -- which means higher gas prices and money going to Venezuela and Iran.
$13.6 billion in supplemental funding (not offset!) for Ukraine with ZERO meaningful debate about how it will be effective or facilitate our national interests.
This bill was created behind closed doors and dumped on Congress. How many times have we seen that in the past few years? TOO MANY!
This process is completely broken. That’s why it’s not enough that Republicans take back Congress, we need to take back America by abolishing Washington’s swampy, bureaucratic ways.
