We’re
about to ask you to start a monthly recurring contribution — but before we
do so, we hope you will allow us to explain why these sustaining
contributions are so important to the success of our campaign:

In those dark, early months of the pandemic, our small dollar donors were
the reason we could set-up a weekly food distribution out of our campaign
office because we knew what funds we could rely on for the month. By the
same token, monthly donors were the reason we could keep up a field
program in the off-year, organizing our communities not just before
election day but every day. They helped fund the multilingual vaccine
outreach program that increased vaccination rates in our district. Monthly
donors paid the organizers who knocked on doors for nine weeks after
Hurricane Ida and helped devastated homeowners and renters apply for FEMA
aid. And, monthly donors helped us advocate for the Child Tax Credit, Ban
Conflicted Trading Act, the Green New Deal, and so much more.

Now, we need YOUR help to make sure Alexandria gets reelected. From the
beginning, Alexandria pledged to take $0 from super PACs or corporate
lobbyists — so we’re relying on YOU to help us launch a campaign that will
not only reelect Alexandria, but help her win big, and show anyone who
would question the strength of our movement that she is here to stay.

Your monthly investment would help allow our campaign to plan more
strategically. If we know we can count on a certain amount of money coming
in each month, then we can make more long-term investments — like hiring
another field organizer or expanding our Homework Helpers program. Even
committing just $2/month is more helpful to us than one $25 donation,
because then we know we can count on that $2 coming in every month.

If it ever gets to be too much, you can just go in and cancel your monthly
donation at any time. ActBlue will even send you a monthly email reminding
you that you’re still giving — so it doesn’t become like one of those
subscriptions you forget about for years (guilty).

Since 2018, we have created a campaign that works for us all rather than
the wealthy few. If we can count on your monthly support, we will be in
good shape to support Alexandria’s work in Congress as well as her
reelection campaign to keep her in Congress.
