Recently, Greg Stanton unveiled his new stance on the border.

After being silent for more than a year on the issue, he now says that “a secure border is an absolute must,” plus he mentioned “fentanyl” for the first time ever in a tweet.

I wonder why the sudden fascination with border security and public safety…

Perhaps it was the new ABC poll from a few days earlier that shows potential disaster for Arizona Democrats.

• Biden’s approval rating is at 37%, his lowest ever.
• Republicans have a 13-point advantage for 2022 Congressional preference among likely voters. This is the highest number for Republicans ever.
• Republicans have a nearly 20-point lead on trust to handle the economy.

Plus, Arizona Republicans continue to make voter registration gains over the Democrats.

Greg Stanton is shifting his positions because he sees the potential disaster too.
