THANK YOU for everyone who wrote Senate President Simpson yesterday, we were successful in negotiating OUT the $200 million dollar punishment to our local schools!

That means, there IS the money to fund the $15/hr base pay for our critical shortages in bus drivers, cafeteria workers, janitorial and other support staff! That's in addition to tens of millions of dollars for our teachers and local schools from the American Rescue Plan.

Also, I told you I'd fix the damn roads! Now, if the judge rules to send the $500m back to the state, we're redirecting it RIGHT BACK into our transportation and infrastructure projects to fix our local roads once and for all!!! (story)

Additionally, a number of my projects were fully funded including safe routes to school improvements for Limona Elementary in Brandon, funding for Tampa police department, and a pay raise for state correctional officers (to name a few).

I'm proud that we have a balanced budget that will continue the work we've done to build back better!
