Mother denim partnered with Carolyn Murphy on an upcycled capsule benefiting the Sierra Club
For the love of Mother Earth.
In October 2021, the Sierra Club partnered with MOTHER denim to support our 30x30 initiative, an effort to protect 30% of U.S. lands and waters by 2030. Protecting 30% of the U.S. by 2030 represents the kind of transformative change that is needed to safeguard nature in America.
To celebrate the program, MOTHER and model, actress and environmental advocate Carolyn Murphy collaborated to introduce a limited-edition capsule made of upcycled materials. Made from pre- and post-consumer waste, the collection pays homage to vintage Americana through its use of deconstructed and reimagined quilts, bandanas and denim designed and made in Los Angeles.
We are proud to announce that this successful campaign raised $50,000 in critical funds for 30x30 as well as raised the profile of the campaign with articles in publications like Harper's Bazaar and Vogue Magazine. This additional funding helps the Sierra Club continue our work towards a just, equitable, and sustainable future where all people benefit from a healthy, thriving planet and a direct connection to nature.
The Sierra Club is grateful for MOTHER's support and commitment to the cause. Now we need your help. Together with MOTHER, we are asking you to help us meet the challenge of climate change and provide space for wildlife and communities to thrive.
