St pats scavenger hunt

It?s not too late to try your luck at our St. Patrick's Day Community Drive-Around Scavenger Hunt this Sunday, March 13! Hunt for shamrocks and learn more about our community for a chance to win some great prizes. This family-friendly event also offers the opportunity to decorate your car and dress your family members for shamrock success! Start the hunt at Village Hall at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 13.

Traffic signal improvements at US 34 and IL 31

Traffic signals at 31 and 34

News flash(ing)! The traffic signals at US 34 & IL 31 by the Village Hall will operate in flash mode on Friday, March 11 at 9 a.m. for several hours while upgrades are made to the system. The improvements will help alleviate wait times to turn at this busy intersection. Thanks for your patience.

Reminder: If you notice a traffic signal that's not working or a missing/damaged street sign, please report it online?so that our Public Works team can make the repairs.?

Be prepared for tornado season

While we're all excited to welcome warmer weather (soon!), it's important to prepare for the arrival of tornado season.?

Take time to:

  • Know the signs of a tornado including a funnel-shaped cloud or a loud noise that sounds like a freight train
  • Pay attention to weather reports
  • Pick a safe shelter area in advance and practice
  • Prepare an emergency kit for long-term with supplies such as water, canned goods and medical supplies.?
