Hi Friend,,

The COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the existing addiction and overdose epidemic. According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, the number of people with both substance use disorder and mental health challenges more than doubled in 2020.

With this surge in families and loved ones seeking immediate support and resources, Partnership to End Addiction and SAFE Project partnered to launch the first-of-its-kind online SAFE Family Support Locator — a free, user-friendly tool that helps families and caregivers quickly find treatment services and support for their loved ones.

Visit SAFE Locator

This new tool allows families seeking support and services to easily search the database for resources throughout the U.S. — both online and in-person — customizing results based on type, demographics, ancillary services and other preferences. The SAFE Family Support Locator currently features both traditional treatment services and more than 600 family support listings that span the country, with new organizations added monthly.

“After a heartbreaking year of record overdose deaths, families need answers and support more than ever. We are proud to partner with SAFE Project to power these tools to provide families and caregivers access to much-needed reliable online support resources — an offering that didn’t exist until today,” said Fred Muench, Ph.D., president of Partnership to End Addiction.

The SAFE Family Support Locator and the SAFE Treatment Locator can be accessed at safelocator.org/en/search and is available in English and Spanish. Organizations interested in being added to the databases should let us know here or email [email protected].
