No images? Click here Dear I’M HOME Partner, For nearly two decades, Prosperity Now, first as CFED, has housed the Innovations in Manufactured Homes (I’M HOME) program. With your guidance and support, it successfully developed into the nation’s leading resource for manufactured housing policy education, programming, communications, and events. Together, I’M HOME partners have scaled programmatic and policy solutions, led innovative research and hosted premier conferences on the issues most important to homeowners, advocates, developers, and our friends and allies throughout the industry. This year, we are opening a new chapter in the program’s story. Over the next few months, we will transition the program to the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, a nonprofit, private operating foundation that seeks to improve quality of life through the effective use, taxation, and stewardship of land. Through research, education, publications, and events, Lincoln works to make communities more equitable, and they recognize that manufactured housing can contribute meaningfully to this goal. Lincoln’s president, George “Mac” McCarthy, is a longtime ally of the field and has been one of the key supporters of I’M HOME’s founding and growth. Many of you know the Lincoln Institute from its work with the Underserved Mortgage Markets Coalition, which aims to create a bigger role for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac in securing housing finance opportunities for those not traditionally served by the private market. You will learn more about Lincoln’s plans for I’M HOME in the coming weeks and months. Though Prosperity Now will no longer house the program, we will remain active in this field, as affordable homeownership, land use, and access to credit remain fundamental to our mission. We look forward to working with Lincoln and each of you as we continue our commitment to improving the way affordable housing practices and policies contribute to wealth building and financial security for all people in America. Thank you for your commitment to this important project and for your partnership in making manufactured housing a viable and affordable path to homeownership and wealth creation. We look forward to collaborating with you to make this vision a reality. Sincerely, Doug Ryan |
