Senators Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and Jon Ossoff (D-GA) have introduced a bill prohibiting for-profit corporations from establishing and managing PACs. The "Ban Corporate PACs Act" would make strides to bar companies from influencing campaigns and elections, as well as ban the solicitation of contributions from corporate stockholders by PACs and terminate existing corporate PACs.

This legislation would have a monumental positive effect on American politics. For too long, our legislators have ignored us in favor of corporations and big money donors. Our needs as constituents are always left in the dust because we cannot line their pockets like corporate executives can.
