President Trump’s EPA is significantly limiting the science used to make decisions about public health. It’s incredibly irresponsible and dangerous. Ignoring facts and science makes the public less safe.

One of scientific rules Trump’s EPA could rollback deals with limiting mercury pollution, which is known to impair brain development.

Upstate New York is known for its natural beauty, and we rely on the natural resources of our region for both personal and economic pursuits. Tossing out scientific studies to allow increases in air and water pollution is a perfect example of what our political leaders should not be doing.

I’m proud to be backed by the League of Conservation Voters and other organizations who are working alongside us to protect the health of our planet and our people. I’ll fight to stop Trump’s EPA from rewarding big polluters at the expense of the rest of us, especially when it recklessly endangers the health of our people, our planet, and our economy.

But big polluters and special interests are giving millions of dollars to GOP Super PACs to defeat Democrats like me in battleground districts.
