I’m coming to you with important news: A grand jury just indicted one of Donald Trump’s closest allies in Colorado.

Yesterday, Mesa County Clerk and GOP candidate for Secretary of State Tina Peters was indicted on multiple counts of election tampering.

Peters has tried for months to promote Trump’s “Big Lie” and deny the results of our free and fair elections. The truth is she’s the one committing fraud. Peters allegedy allowed an unauthorized person to breach the county’s voting data, which was then leaked to pro-Trump conspiracy theorists.

It’s time to set the record straight: The only voter fraud happening in our state is being led by Trump-aligned extremists.

Secretary of State Jena Griswold and I are working to defend our voting rights and safeguard our elections in Colorado and across the country. But we’re also facing an important election this fall, and need your support to continue that important work.
