Hi everyone, Congresswoman Katie Porter here.

You might know me from taking on Big Pharma and Big Oil executives in Congress with my signature whiteboard, but I’m not here to talk about me – I’m here to talk about why I’m endorsing Sean Casten for re-election.

Before I get into specifics, I have to ask if you will chip in $25 or more to Sean’s re-election campaign. I promised to help his team raise $5,000 by midnight towards their crucial FEC fundraising goal.

Sean and I were both elected to Congress in 2018. Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working with Sean on legislation to end oil and gas subsidies and on task forces to tackle the climate crisis.

In 2019, Sean and I were two of the most vulnerable House Democrats running for re-election – we were also the first Frontline Democrats to call for Donald Trump’s impeachment inquiry.

People warned us that coming out in favor of impeachment in purple districts like ours could cost us our re-elections.

But Sean and I both know that doing the right thing is far more important than doing what is politically convenient, which is why it’s paramount that we keep Sean’s voice in Congress.

Sean has a primary election right around the corner, and he needs your investment now to run ads, build his team, and get his message out across IL-06.

Sean’s seat is absolutely essential to maintaining our Democratic House majority and making real progress when it comes to addressing the root causes of climate change. Will you join me in supporting Sean by chipping in $25 or more by midnight tonight?
