As you read this, I'm on my way home from a very exciting weekend in Washington D.C. with my future co-workers! This weekend was the Brand New Congress Summit for the 2020 slate. I spent the weekend meeting like-minded individuals committed to being champions of the people. I was already fired up, but after spending the last two days with the most inspiring group of people I've had the honor to meet, I am ready to change Congress.

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting and co-endorsing Shahid Buttar for CA-12. But he and I know this isn't just about one race. In order to change the heart of Congress, we need to fill those chambers with new representatives full of innovative ideas and a passion for helping people. We don't need to keep re-electing lifetime politicians. It's time for members of Congress to actually represent their constituents.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to our campaign so far. Because of your generosity, we have been able to grow our team. We just brought on progressive strategists Peter Daou and Leela Daou as political advisers. After working on multiple prominent presidential campaigns, Peter has dedicated his time to counsel first-time progressive challengers in congressional races. We are so excited (and thankful) to have them on Team Ashcraft!

I am REALLY feeling the momentum after this summit, and as our campaign continues to grow, so do our costs for getting the word out about our vision!
