My name is Lawrence M. Otter, I am the campaign counsel for the Hunt campaign.

To anyone watching the news it is apparent that democracy is under attack both at home and abroad.

Petitioning is fundamental political speech by the voters and candidates and it is a key component of our electoral process.

Petitioning is also a process that we are currently engaged in and I am proud to announce that Alexandra Hunt was the first Pennsylvania Congressional Candidate to file her nomination petitions in Harrisburg. Alexandra beat every single Pennsylvania congressional candidate along with sitting incumbents including our opponent Dwight Evans.

Alexandra and I with our first 1198 signatures - they said she wouldn’t make it on the ballot!

There are now only five days left to circulate nomination petitions for ballot access to our Democratic Primary scheduled for May 17th, 2022.

Because of the intricacies of petitioning it is generally understood that a candidate must file two or three times the minimum number (1000) to avoid a costly petition challenge in Commonwealth Court. Momentum is on Alexandra’s side but getting bogged down in a draining legal battle with so little time to spare until our May election day would knock the wind right out of us.

The goal is self-evident, collect more signatures for filing in Harrisburg by Tuesday March 15th!

I cannot emphasize enough how bad it would be for our campaign if we don’t have another 2000 signatures by next Tuesday. Can I count on you to chip in whatever you can to make sure that our field team has the resources they need to stave off a legal battle and close out our petitioning stronger than ever?
