That’s how many jobs we’ve added to the U.S. economy this year — keeping up the momentum from the record 6.6 million jobs added during President Biden’s first year. That’s more jobs created in one year than in the entire terms of the last three Republican presidents... combined.

Thanks to the American Rescue Plan — which Democrats passed without a single Republican vote — and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, everyday Americans are finally experiencing some relief after years of a grueling global pandemic. But it’s not enough and our work isn’t over.

We need to restore and make the expanded Child Tax Credit permanent and make child care more affordable, invest in universal pre-K, and do more to address the everyday costs and concerns of families across the country. But we’re at an impasse.

As long as Mitch McConnell can filibuster Democratic legislation, he’ll continue to block more critical bills that the American people elected our Democratic majorities and President Biden to pass. We must build our Senate majority, keep our legislative agenda moving, and act to address the many crises we’re facing — on climate, voting, abortion, justice, and so much more.
