John – We've got some bad news to start off this month, so I wanted to be the one to share it with you.

Unfortunately, it looks like a federal court upheld Georgia Republicans' attempts to keep me out of Congress by making my old district unwinnable for a Democrat.

Despite the judge acknowledging that Republicans had reduced the power of Black voters with their gerrymandered maps across Georgia (PARTICULARLY in my old district) and potentially violated the Voting Rights Act, the courts would not overturn the new maps this close to an election – with the primary coming up in just 75 more days.

This means I am officially locked into a competitive primary that I need to win to keep fighting for gun safety in Congress.

To be honest with you, John, this election is make-or-break. It’s the most important election of my career to date.
