Florida’s unconstitutional abortion law heads to DeSantis’s desk

John, I’m horrified.

Governor Ron DeSantis is moments away from signing one of the most extremist anti-choice laws in our nation, banning abortion at just 15 weeks with no exceptions.

Let me be clear: H.B. 5 is nothing but an outrageous attack on the rights of Floridians. It’s unconstitutional, unjust, and dangerous. Full stop.

In his State of the State address, Governor DeSantis referred to Florida as the “freest state in the country.”

How can we be free when women across our state, particularly women of color, are forbidden from accessing basic health care?

As a woman, Floridian, and pro-choice candidate for Congress, I’m appalled — but I won’t let the GOP gut our reproductive rights without a fight.

That’s why I’m asking you to join me in calling on Governor DeSantis to veto this horrific bill and protect bodily autonomy for every Floridian. I've set a goal to collect 7,500 signatures before midnight tonight:
