Hey y'all,
The Texas primary election was last week, and while we saw some really important wins (Lina Hidalgo, Beto O'Rourke, and others), one thing has us a little worried.
" Nearly 800,000 more Republicans than Democrats voted for a candidate for governor -- a gap far larger than the one in 2018."
— The New York Times
This isn’t the end of the world. The Republicans had high-profile competitive primaries up and down the ballot that likely contributed to higher turnout on their side. But we aren’t seeing evidence of a Democratic wave – yet.
We can win big in November, but we need to do everything we can to reach Texans with Democrats’ positive vision for the future, and get voters to the polls.
It’s not going to be easy.
But the good news is that we have enough time to come back from this, y'all — only if we start today.
So please, chip in any amount right now to Boot Texas Republicans to help us build a massive Democratic movement and flip Texas blue: [[link removed]]
