John, the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on our congressional maps was a massive victory for us. Yet we are still in a battle this year to defend our democracy because it’s in peril.

The work that NPP is doing will shape our state’s political power for the next decade and honor the right every Pennsylvanian has to make their voice heard. I recently shared my story of immigration with you when I came to the United States almost six years ago. As I knock on doors and talk to new voters about the power of their vote, I think about the power of mine once I get my citizenship soon.

For me, I look forward to voting because I’ll be able to vote for candidates who celebrate this country’s diversity – something the United States is famous for all over the world. Contrary to the American values of diversity and inclusion that have encouraged me to pursue citizenship, the GOP continues to escalate its false rhetoric and build an infrastructure that tramples voting rights, especially for BIPOC, young people, and workers.
